The lost roll-Colorado

Tucked away in cold storage within my fridge was this old roll of film from a trip to Colorado back in 2009.  While driving through Independence Pass in the Aspen  area, I came upon the small ghost town of Independence.  I had forgotten that I had a roll of film with images taken from this area.
 The ghost town of Independence

Independence Valley, and what remains of the small town.
The remains of an old cabin from the 1800's.
What a beautiful place to have once lived!

What remains of an old hotel in Independence.
 One corner remains
A paved trail leading throughout the little ghost town.
Rustic!
 Beautiful!
I captured a crow in flight over one of the tiny cabins that remain in Independence.
Imagine this being your back yard!
More remains of a structure in Independence.
 Rocky Mountains.
This cabin still remained in good condition, considering how old this town was.

Staggered doorways made for an interesting photograph.

A newly reconstructed building amongst the ghost town.
