Color, or Black & White?

Only taken with my cell phone camera, I couldn't decide which looked better, color or classic.  A big old Oak tree and old barns located on the farm where I work....

Or in color?

I liked the Sudan bails taken in Black and White....

STORMS!!!

We've been having some major storms move through the cities today!!!  My cell phone takes panoramic photos.... I was able to capture the clouds moving through at work.  My work truck in the foreground.  :)

Wicked!!

Nerstrand Big Woods State Park ( Second Visit )

I went back to Big Woods State Park this past weekend again to do more park exploration.  I wanted to check out more of the hiking trails within the park.  There are 11 miles of hiking trails total in the park.

I found this single wildflower along the trail to the hidden falls.
Along the Beaver Trail, I discovered another unique tree.  I like to find one on every camping trip.  This one had a piece of wood that grew in between the two trunks.  It looks like a small bench!
The season to come; an early fall-colored leaf on the trail.
A circle of trees guarding this log...
Color from above.  The sunlight was shining through these leaves, illuminating them apart from the others.
I stood underneath them and took this shot pointing upward.
A trail of ivy growing up a moss covered tree trunk.

Many wildflowers along the White Oak Trail, nearing back to the Visitors Center.

Daddy long-legs!

I found this single wildflower just steps from my tent.
This time, my sister Laura and her boyfriend Lance, along with Shelby, came to visit me camping.  They joined me late Saturday afternoon.
The "Hag Stares"... Laura's
Lance's Hag Stare...
And my "Hag stare..." my sister and I call each other Hags!  LOL  :)
Shelby enjoys setting up traps for us to fall into around the camp site.  Here she's busy digging another hole.

Chill time at the site....
Redneck golf!  After a few rounds of the game.

Tripod shots!!  An advantage of bringing along my tripod....so that everyone can be included in the shot!

Nerstrand Big Woods State Park ( First Visit )

A couple of weekends ago, I joined my sister and her boyfriend camping.  They stayed at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park, by Northfield.  I discovered while I was there these hidden falls along a hiking trail.

Hidden Falls
I could walk right up to the edge of the waterfall.... I was able to catch this neat shot of the water cascading off the edge of the rocks.
Side view of the waterfall.
I wanted to slow the motion of the waterfall early Sunday morning.  Just as the shutter closed, this young boy walked into the scene.  I was disappointed at first until I seen the result of it.  The blurred motion of him is somewhat unique!
Shelby came along on the trip as well; my sister's dog.
My sister Laura, Shelby, and her boyfriend Lance.
I was dogsitting over the weekend when I went camping.  Here's me with Shelby, and my big brown friend Coco.
