Memorial Day weekend-2011

This year I took a trip to Split Rock Creek State Park (another new one to add to my list!) for Memorial Day weekend.  There was a total of 11 of us, including my sister, her boyfriend, and their friends and children.  Though the weather wasn't the most pleasant, we all still had a good time!  The photo above is the beach area and Split Rock Lake.  I took this the first evening upon arrival.  I had reached camp just before a downpour of rain came through!  More photos to come!

Keep on movin'

Last night I went for another jog up to Boom Island Park.  I stopped briefly to take a moment to enjoy the scenery at hand, before heading back home to complete my 5 mile jaunt. 

Bad game, cool weather

Last night my sis, her boyfriend, my nephew, and I enjoyed the warm weather by going to the Twins game.  Though the Twins lost terribly to Detroit, the night still provided plenty of entertainment via the weather.  Tuesday night's weather stirred up quite the thunderstorm system, which included a downpour of rain, along with golf-ball to baseball sized hail!  The game went into a rain delay, and it took staff members almost 45 minutes to clean up all the hail.

May celebration

Today my friend Dan got married!  I've known Dan for almost 20 years, and it was a joy to see him and his new wife Irena so happy on their wedding day.  And the weather was perfect!  I was able to take a few photos of the happy couple on their special day.
